Frequently asked questions about test rides Which bikes can I try?
We have a dedicated fleet of demo bikes for you try out which represent the majority of bike types we sell. You can see the full range of bikes available to try above.
How long can I take a bike for a test ride?
The test ride (free ‘rental’) is set at a generous 1 hour, but feel free to take your time and really get to know the bike. Perhaps try it out on your local streets if you live nearby or even do a dry run on your regular route?
Can I try out more than one bike?
Yes - we encourage you to try out as many different bikes as you need to make a full and thorough assessment, and to make sure the one you pick is right for you.
Can I test ride the bikes with luggage or with my children?
Absolutely! It’s important to make the test ride as realistic as possible and the reality is that most of these bikes will be used to carry luggage and/or children, so trying them out with the actual loads you’ll be carrying is super important. We can help make sure that any loads are securely attached and that children are in a suitable seat - we even have child seats availabe to borrow! You and your children may also want to bring your own helmets.
Can two people try out one or more bikes at the same time?
Bikes are meant for sharing and it’s important that every future user can fully appreciate the benefits, so yes, let us know if you would like to try more than one bike - two heads are better than one!
Do you charge for test rides?
No, the test ride is completly free of charge but we are required by our insurance company to get two forms of ID - at least on a passport or driving licence - and take a refundable £100 deposit.
How do I arrange or book a test ride?
Use the ‘rental’ booking window on this page or if the technology isn’t working or you prefer to let us book it for you, you can email, call or pop in to the shop in person to make the reservation.
