n 1921, Karl Scheffer-Klute founded the company in Sundern, Germany (SKS= Scheffer-Klute Sundern). Pump production began in 1932 with the first plastic pumps manufactured in 1956 and the 75th anniversary celebrated in 2007. In 2003, the production of compact bike tools was introduced as an additional product division for the aftermarket. By adding highly innovative chainguards to the portfolio in 2006, SKS continues as solution provider for the modern bike industry.
