When developing the GRANIT™ Super Extreme 2500, Abus paid great attention to ensuring the best possible resistance to attacks from battery angle grinders - this is achieved with the use of special Wolfram carbide material compound around the lock shackle and body.
The shackle, housing and structural parts of the lock are made of hardened steel.

The large internal size of the shackle means that numerous locking options can be found quickly and easily. In contrast, thieves have a hard time with this robust bike lock because even cordless angle grinders bite on granite here.

The Granit X-Plus 6950 Cafe Lock features a specially hardened steel shackle, lock housing and parts of the locking mechanism, to  provide greater security against attacks - and can be combined with the ACH Adaptor Chain
