Dutch regulator orders recall and sales halt of popular Cargo Bike brand Babboe amid safety fears

The news probably came as a shock to many Babboe owners, who rely on their bikes to carry kids, cargo and more in their daily lives, but due to numerous reports of frame breakages the Dutch regulator for food and consumer product safety (NVWA) has issued a mandatory recall and sales halt “because their safety cannot be sufficiently guaranteed”.
